- Ecological disturbance in the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts caused by invasive species and wildfire
Current Projects
Carbon sequestration in Arizona ponderosa pine forests. This collaboration with Northern Arizona University examines how carbon storage in ponderosa pine forests is effected by forest management strategies.
Ecosystem response to nitrogen and organic carbon deposition from the urban atmosphere. This collaboration with Arizona State University examines how air pollution from Phoenix is effecting the surround desert in terms of ecosystem use of nitrogen and organic carbon.
