Course Description

This course is offered every year in 2 different designs. Every other year, a one week field trip occurs to study the genesis, classification, and geomorphology of the major soils of the northeastern United States with students from other mid-Atlantic and northeastern colleges and universities. In other years, the course focuses for one week on specific applications of field methods/topics pertinent to soil genesis, geomorphology and classification and can focus on regions beyond the northeastern US.
