Agronomy 410W - Spring 2004

Agronomy 410W is an intermediate course in crop physiological ecology concerned with the relationship between crop plants and their environment, crop ecology, and the physiology of crop growth in agricultural systems. Principles of plant morphology, physiology, and ecology, and of microclimatology are integrated and applied to analysis of crop and turf production and management systems. Included are topics of solar radiation, photosynthesis, water relations, temperature stress, photosynthate accumulation and partitioning, vegetative and reproductive development, and root rhizosphere processes. Laboratory includes plant growth experiments, environment and plant stress measurements, agricultural systems problem solving, data processing and technical report writing.
