Undergraduate Degree Programs:

The Department of Crop and Soil Sciences offers two bachelor’s degree programs (Soil Science option in Environmental Resource Management and Turfgrass Science), Minors in Agronomy and Environmental Soil Science, and a two-year certificate program in Golf Course Turfgrass Management. The department also participates in two College of Agricultural Sciences’ inter-departmental programs; Agroecology and Environmental Resource Management.

Soil Science students

Graduate Degree Programs:

The Department offers two graduate degree programs (Agronomy and Soil Science) as well as four, inter-college programs (Ecology, Genetics, Materials, and Plant Physiology). The department accepts applications on an ongoing basis. Faculty may have grant-funded assistantships for interested students throughout the year. However, to be considered for Departmental ASSISTANTSHIPS (not grant funded assistantships) and University FELLOWSHIPS for the fall semester, a completed application should be on file by January 3.
